Estatalidades na América Latina: realidades e desafios no duplo interregno

Este artigo dá conta da renovada relevância do Estado em um contexto caracterizado pelo chamado “duplo interregno”. Esta categoria busca sintetizar o momento atual de disputa aberta tanto em nível global, entre o espaço sino-asiático na expansão material e o espaço hegemônico no desdobramento financeiro, quanto no nível latino-americano, entre movimentos de mercantilização e contra-movimentos redistributivos. Argumenta-se que na intersecção de ambos os interregnos se fundem processos que têm o Estado como ator principal e que, no cenário latino-americano, têm dado profundidade e continuidade às fragilidades históricas organizacionais e implicativas. Isso afeta as estatalidades em sua capacidade de alterar a estrutura produtiva periférica, qualificar seu posicionamento global e resolver internamente os padrões excludentes e desiguais que dominam a região.
