Manuscript Preparation
Authors must ensure that their submission complies with the journal’s criteria. Submissions that do not conform to these guidelines will be returned.
- All scientific manuscripts must be submitted through the Electronic Journal Publishing System (SEER) / Open Journal Systems (OJS).
- Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and within the scope of the journal. Works previously presented or published in conference proceedings, institutional repositories, or authors’ personal websites are accepted.
- Manuscripts must not be under review by any other journal, even if in a different language.
- Manuscripts must not contain any information identifying the authors or their institutions, including in the references.
- Manuscripts must follow the formatting guidelines described in the “Article Submission Format” section.
- Author information must be submitted in a separate file, uploaded as a supplementary document, as indicated in the “Article Submission Format” section.
- In the case of co-authored manuscripts, each author’s contribution must be specified according to the Contributor Role Taxonomy (CRediT): Conceptualization; Data Curation; Formal Analysis; Funding Acquisition; Investigation; Methodology; Project Administration; Resources; Software; Supervision; Validation; Visualization; Writing – Original Draft; Writing – Review & Editing. Manuscripts with more than three authors will not be accepted.
- Texts may be written in Portuguese, Spanish, or English.
- If translation services are required, the direct costs will be charged to the authors of the approved manuscripts. These services are provided by professionals accredited by the RBEUR Editorial Board in accordance with fees previously agreed upon with the journal.
- Authors bear full responsibility for the content of their manuscripts and must disclose to the editors any potential conflicts of interest—whether personal, commercial, political, academic, or financial—that may have influenced the submitted material, and explain how such conflicts were addressed. Authors must also indicate in the manuscript any financial support received, as well as any economic or personal relationships that contributed to making the research possible.

- Aligning with ethical standards and best practices in research communication, RBEUR informs authors that the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the preparation of manuscripts submitted to the journal is permitted only for the following activities: a) searching, systematizing, and final organization of bibliographic references; b) organizing databases and preparing charts, tables, and graphs; c) final text revision for grammatical and orthographic correction, in accordance with standard language conventions. - Articles must cite and reference all data, code, and other materials used or produced in the research. These materials must be made available under open access prior to submission as a condition for approval. In cases where confidentiality or restricted access apply, authors must provide a justification in the “Comments to the Editor” section. The Editorial Committee will assess the relevance of the exception and notify the authors of its decision.
